Embossed Carrier Tape Materials

Carrier tapesAdvantek's embossed carrier tapes are known world wide for their superior performance characteristics. This leads to trouble-free operation both in taping and on pick and place equipment. Advantek carrier tape is manufactured using unique proprietary equipment, with capabilities from 8mm to 200 mm tape width and depths exceeding 28mm. The use of state of the art computerised automatic inspection equipment and statistical process control analysis results in carrier tape with precise dimensions and consistently uniform sealing surfaces. Advantek's process ensures that the sealing surfaces are defect-free and of uniform thickness. When combined with the consistent adhesion properties of Advantek's cover tape a precise and uniform peel back is achieved. From small bare die to large connectors, Advantek embossed carrier tapes are the industry leader in device packaging and protection.

Cover Tapes

Cover tapesThe importance of the right cover tape is critical to all those understanding the process. In order to insure consistent peel back force over time, temperature and humidity changes, it is important to use cover tapes that are formulated for use with, and are chemically compatible with, the carrier tape being used. The Advantek cover tapes offer long standing success and a broad range of compatibility. Offering both heat activated and pressure sensitive, the Advantek cover tapes match carrier widths from 8mm to 200mm tapes and fully comply with all EIA 481 standards.

LOKREEL® products

LokreelAdvantek's LOKREEL® products, provide the take up reel solution to complete the taping process. Made from high impact injection molded polystyrene these 13” take up reels offer excellent component protection. The patented snap together design eliminates the hidden costs of one-piece pre-assembled reels. LOKREEL®s are shipped disassembled and the halves are stacked either 25 or 50 per box reducing shipping costs by up to 70% over assembled reels. The design incorporates a large flange area for increased label space and product protection.

Available in white, blue, or black, the LOKREEL® is used to produce reel widths from 8mm - 56mm. Hub diameters of 4” and 7” are available. For widths wider than 56mm, we offer a multi-piece LOKREEL® with a 6” diameter hub.

Barrier Bags – Bags for Static and Moisture Sensitive Devices

Barrier bagsAdvantek's STATLOK TM and DRYLOKTM bags are specifically designed for the safe packaging of static and moisture sensitive devices. This unique product offering helps eliminate failures caused during shipping, handling and storage of surface mount devices.

Bags are produced using state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. Advantek offers STATLOK TM(static shielding) and DRYLOKTM (Static shielding combined with moisture carrier barrier) bags. Both types can be custom manufactured to meet industry and or military specifications. Features include hot stamp or custom graphic printing, folded two-side or three-side sealed construction. Zipper-style closure and gussets are available.

The STATLOKTM 1000 series provides superior ESD protection for those products requiring static shielding exclusively. The STATLOKTM 1100 meets or exceeds relevant industry specifications while the STATLOKTM 1100M is Mil-B-81705 Rev. C approved for military applications.

The DRYLOKTM family of bags offers reliable static and moisture protection. The DRYLOKTM 2000 series (metallized polyester) and the DRYLOKTM 3000 series (foil laminations) offer a wide variety of thicknesses to meet your specific requirements.
